Albany Symphony And David Alan Miller Presents The American Music Festival, Sing Out! New York

The Albany Symphony's American Music Festival will return to Troy with performances and happenings at EMPAC, Troy Savings Bank Music Hall, the Tiffany-adorned St. Paul's Episcopal Church and Troy's Monumental Square starting Thursday, May 30, 2019 through Sunday, June 9, 2019.

New York Youth Symphony (NYYS) and Music Director Michael Repper are proud to announce the 2019-2020 season orchestra concerts to be performed in Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage at Carnegie Hall. The 2019-2020 season repertoire features a diverse array of works, from Joan Tower's Fanfare for the Uncommon Woman and Florence Price's Piano Concerto in One Movement, to crowd-pleasers such as Rimsky-Korsakov's Scheherazade, Respighi's Pines of Rome, and Mahler's “Titan” Symphony. Featured soloists include 13-year-old piano prodigy Harmony Zhu on Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 1, cellist Sterling Elliot on Dvořák's Cello Concerto, and pianist Michelle Cann on the Price Piano Concerto. Ms. Zhu will make her Carnegie Hall debut as part of the Roy and Shirley Durst Debut Artist series. Mr. Elliot is appearing as part of a partnership with the Sphinx Organization.

The Albany Symphony today announced the 2019 American Music Festival, Sing Out! New York, a bold two-weekend national festival and regional tour of musical performances and new art happenings, taking place in renowned concert venues in Troy and in public parks throughout New York State's Capital Region.  Sing Out! New York kicks off on Thursday, May 30 with First Draughts Reading Session & Beer Tasting and runs through Sunday, June 2 in Troy, then embarks on a four-concert tour of the greater Capital Region on Thursday, June 6,2019.

Four Corners Ensemble Presents STROLLING ON A WORLD MAP

Four Corners Ensemble presents four dynamic mini-concertos from its 'World Map Concerti Series.' Composed by award-winning composer Shying Li, 'World Map Concerti' is a multi-cultural and multi-national collection with virtuosic soloists and a soloist-level 'orchestra'. These concertos focus on each soloist's unique geographical, cultural and personal identities.
